Elham Souri

“The value of lighting master plan”

Elham Souri is an urban designer, concentrating mostly on urban lighting design and research. She holds a PhD in Urban Design from Shahid Beheshti University, Iran. Elham has more than 14 years of professional experience as a designer and project coordinator for a wide range of urban and lighting projects of different sizes. She was also the scientific director of the Iran Lighting Design Conference (ILDC) held in the Middle East. Her interests include promoting social interaction, creating happy and liveable places and supporting sustainability.

Elham is currently teaching at university and her main responsibility as a member of the Tehran Light Committee is developing the Tehran lighting master plan as well as designing the lighting of small-cale projects including bridges, historical and valuable buildings and sites. In addition, she is enthusiastic about façade lighting and lighting master plan research.
