ewo returns

Flora Kröss and Ernst Wohlgemuth founded ewo in 1996, developing it out of a metal factory in Sarnthein/Sarentino. For 20 years, ewo has been bringing light to a variety of places: picturesque walking trails, urban gathering points, streets, buildings, cultural venues, and airports, in addition to other transport-related and industrial settings. For ewo, know-how means harnessing the current state of technology in order to create custom-tailored solutions. At their facility in South Tyrol, they develop and craft high-quality products for illumination in public spaces. ewo innovations revolve around a modular LED lighting unit, distributing and controlling glare-free light.

The company brings passionate curiosity to each and every challenge, whether that involves specific lighting effects, special design requirements, the colour and material the luminaires are made of, discreet or bold settings, or explicit technical requirements. They also place great importance on cultural and artistic issues as well as on experimental interaction with architecture, art, and design.

As a family business, ewo values clear communication – not only with each other, but also with clients, project partners, and suppliers. The solutions they develop are the result of an environment that features mutual exchange and a creative and open mindset – innovations that have made the company a pioneering force in the industry.
