Environmentally responsible lighting design in the framework of corporate social responsibility

Presentation date: 26. October
Presentation time: 16:15

At the core of Environmentally Responsible Lighting Design (ERLD) we find sunlight and daylight as supplements of artificial lighting, which comprise a so-called “passive approach”. The successful use of natural light also includes the successful control of it, which is why shading is an integral part of successful ERLD. ERLD, which might also be termed Sustainable Lighting Design, could be part of a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative for a forward-thinking company, taking into consideration CSR principles related to society, economy and environment. Ioannis Panagiotopoulos will explain how he guides corporations interested in putting together a CSR program as a basis for the lighting of its corporate building.
