Kevan Shaw is the Design Director of Kevan Shaw Lighting Design. He has headed the design team on over 650 projects and maintains a supervisory and executive role in all the major projects realised by KSLD.

The focus of his work is on lighting design for exhibitions, events, and architectural and exterior lighting projects. Kevan Shaw continues to be involved in stage lighting, and recently designed shows at the EIFF and Manipulate Festival. He is also involved in Lighting Design education, lecturing at Edinburgh Napier Univeristy, KTH Stockholm and at the Technical University of Iceland, and as a guest lecturer for many educational establishments. In 2015, Kevan was a workshop head for the PLDA workshop in Alingsås.

Kevan is also pro-active for the Lighting Design profession: he was Director of Sustainability for PLDA from 2008 to 2011, and is a Director of the IALD, where he serves on the Regulatory Affairs Committee. He is a Member of the ILP, through whom he is registered as a Chartered Engineer, and a Member of the Society of Light and Lighting.
