Licht 2020
We are happy to announce that Licht 2020 in Bamberg has accepted to be a Partner Event of PLDC 2019.
From 27. to 30. September, 2020 the lighting world will be gathering in the City of Bamberg, Germany, a recognised Cultural Heritage site, for the 24th edition of the »LICHT2020« European lighting congress. Around 600 lighting specialists, planners, and industry representatives will have the opportunity to gain information and know-how in three parallel tracks featuring altogether approximately 100 presentations on current developments in the fields of research, education, technology, design and application in all areas of light and lighting.
The congress has been staged every two years since 1972. It is co-organised by the lighting engineering societies in Austria (LTG), Germany (LiTG), the Netherlands (NSVV) and Switzerland (SLG) and has become the largest lighting engineering symposium in Europe. »LICHT« is complemented by a lighting industry exhibition and workshops on pre-defined topics. The traditional welcoming event on the evening before the first day of the congress per se, together with the »Gala Evening«, make for important networking platforms on/around science and application,educators and students. Since 2000, the lighting industry has regularly supported students – the new generation of lighting designers – by covering the costs for their conference tickets.The Call for Papers for LICHT2020, as well as the conditions for sponsoring the event, will be published in autumn 2019.
