Conference

As in previous years, PLDC will be built around a four-track conference. Traditionally, the first three tracks will cover Lighting Application Case Studies, Lighting Application Research and Professional Practice Issues. The fourth track varies from convention to convention and is dedicated to a topic that is currently key to lighting design developments worldwide.

For PLDC 2017, the traditional Research track has been split into two parts to offer independent researchers the chance to present research findings and ongoing studies, and to enable cutting-edge R&D developments that affect the lighting industry and the lighting community to be shared with the PLDC audience. The Research papers will be cut in length to 20 minutes per paper. This modern format is well established in the research field and will offer more researchers the chance to present their findings.

The additional tracks Lighting Application Case Studies, Professional Practice and Urban Life 4.0 will again comprise 45 minute presentations.
