Gala Dinner venue confirmed
The PLD Recognition Awards Dinner marks the closing of PLDC. In an elegant atmosphere, partners and attendees of the overall event have the chance to network, enjoy a great dinner (yes, we did some food testing) and rock the dance floor at the closing party of PLDC 2019 in Rotterdam.
The venue for the evening aligns with the extraordinary venues selected for the Gala Dinner in the past, which comprised an old slaughterhouse (2011), a train workshop (2013) and an historic film set (2015). This year’s venue may indeed become one of the all-time favourites: an old submarine wharf!
Gala Dinner guests will be hosted by our valued sponsoring partners. Tickets for the after-show party can be bought using the registration form (Please note: these do not include the dinner!).
Eight awards plus the final winner of The Challenge will be announced during the dinner. This coming weekend, the awards jury will be meeting to discuss all nominees and select the winners! All shortlisted nominees will be announced online shortly!
For this year’s nomination process, a workgroup from the University of Applied Sciences in Wismar/DE researched and discussed for several weeks to provide a basis for the final jury selection. Special thanks to Prof. Thomas Römhild and Prof. Jan Blieske and their students Andreina Miolan, Anna-Lena Bast, Hyunji Lim, Irene Tangsereesuksan, Lidia Grubińsk, Martyna Jac, Natalia Rodriguez, Orkun Gümüstekin and Teerarat Tuntsiak.
Those of you who attended the Gala Dinner in Rome in 2015 will remember the breath-taking and emotional lighting set-up that Koert Vermeulen and his team from ACT created. The organisers are proud to announce that Koert will again be responsible for the evening event and guests can look forward to yet another special evening.
