Norbert Wasserfurth/DE, Studio DL
Norbert Wasserfurth-Grzybowski graduated in Electrical Engineering at the TU Gliwice and Lighting Engineering at the Technical University of Warsaw and at the Technical University of Karlsruhe. Since then he has worked as a lighting designer, engineer and manager in the lighting industry, and has spoken at international conferences.
In 1997, he founded his own design practice Dynamisches Licht / Studio DL in Hildesheim and is working on numerous projects in many European cities with his constantly growing team. Studio DL has received a number of awards for their work, including the German Lighting Design Prize 2013 and 2015.
Since 2004, he has been working as a research associate carrying out research work in the fields of dynamic light, light-colour-emotion, visualisation in 3D-space at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hildesheim (HAWK), where he teaches the basics of outdoor lighting and lighting design principles.
David Kosdruy/DE, loop
David Kosdruy is a qualified architect and programmer. He links creative design thinking with analytic algorithms. In his career he has worked on ground-breaking computational design projects such as the Abu Dhabi Midfield Terminal, the Marina Mall Qatar or the first 3D data analytics model for Greater London. His design work has received several recognitions, among them the Pininfarina Design Award.
Combining his algorithmic and data experience with lighting design he founded ‘loop’, an algorithmic design agency that specialises in city data, light optimisation and machine learning.
David is a regular speaker at international computational design conferences and collaborates with universities across Europe to advance parametric design in their curriculum.
