Partner University Department of Architecture at the University of Cambridge

University of Cambridge

We are happy to announce that the Department of Architecture at the University of Cambridge has accepted to be a Partner University of PLDC 2019.

The Department of Architecture at the University of Cambridge formally established its research wing, now called The Martin Centre for Architectural and Urban Studies, in 1967. The Martin Centre is the leading architectural research unit in Britain, with five decades of successful research for government and industry, both nationally and internationally. The Centre was formed to undertake contract research, and has an active programme of postgraduate studies leading to PhDs and four Masters degrees. Martin Centre projects typically cross traditional research boundaries: behaviour and building performance, including daylight design in architecture, sustainable building and urban design, history and philosophy of architecture, digital media design and communication, and risk assessment and mitigation in the built environment.
